Hola Amigos! How are you?
I am writing from Saskatchewan, Canada. I am a parent who is homeschooling my 8-year-old son.
He begins Spanish lessons this month (unfortunately, there are no Mayan languages taught here), because I plan to take him to Mexico next year.
My question is this: Is there any possibility of setting up a penpal situation between my son and a child from Chiapas? I don't know if your children are learning any Spanish or English, but if so, we could possibly communicate.
I thought it would be nice for him to have a friend to look forward to meeting in Chiapas. He has heard many negative things about Mexico from people who do not see all of the positive things that are going on as well. Although I try to reassure him, I think he is a little worried about taking the trip.
Thank you. Gracias.
