The Zapatista students turned out in
force to
celebrate Mexico's independence from
Spain
this September 15th. With song and
dance,
the new revolution remembered the old
and
continues to breathe new life and spark
new
innovations in the life of those in
resistance.

Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos announces the
"First
World
Festival of Rage Dignified."
On
September 15th, the poetic spokesman for the
EZLN
invited the world to a festival designed to
create
"Another world, Another path: From
below and
to the left." The clandestine
indigenous
committee of
the EZLN
promises that the festival will
include
themes
related to the countryside, the
cities,
politics,
history,
social movements communication,
sexuality,
art and
culture ~ all from the point of view of
the
"other".
