Dear friends and fellow activists,

I'm very excited to announce that I will be traveling to Chiapas, Mexico for two weeks this summer as part of a caravan to work to support the building of an alternative education system in Maya Communities throughout the state of Chiapas. My efforts will help build volunteer run, autonomous centers that promote indigenous language and tradition while striving for academic excellence and cultural survival.
