With multi-national corporations pushing aside democratic decisions and ignoring trade protections around the world, it is immensely imperative that international solidarity be shown to indigenous peoples who struggle in the face of this corparate-minded hegemony. Schools for Chiapas offers this necessary solidarity and support for the indigenous Mayan and Zapatista struggle in Mexico, with a concentration on the construction of autonomous schools.
